We are delighted to announce that Adform FLOW – our global, independent, and fully integrated advertising platform, has won an iF design award for User Experience in the Communication UX category.

This is the second prize Adform FLOW has received for design after accepting a prestigious Red Dot Award in September 2021 - further highlighting our radical commitment to reducing complexity in the ad tech ecosystem and our client-focused approach.

The iF DESIGN AWARDS is a global event that focuses on highlighting quality creativity across multiple design disciplines. Since 1953, one of their core principles has been ‘to identify, support and promote good design.’

The awards carry out a famously rigorous selection process, with a jury comprising 132 experts from a broad range of design fields and representing over 20 nations. Only 100 winners were selected in the UX category out of 11,000 applicants. Adform FLOW’s user interface was assessed against five main criteria: Idea, form, function, impact, and differentiation.

Adform's UX Vision

To realize this vision for our platform, Adform required a UX that bucked B2B norms and drew inspiration from B2C usage models; creating digital campaigns should be as easy as online shopping. This user-first approach required a task-orientated system, where a personalized, adaptive dashboard presented tasks in an intuitive way.

Adform’s Senior Director and Head of UX, Erlingur Ørn Bartels Jonsson acknowledges the journey to creating a best-in-class platform: “We didn’t get here overnight. The path to the iF Design Awards, and the Red Dot Award that we won last year, started over five years ago in 2016.  We had over 200 interviews with our users and clients, formulating a 12-persona toolset to empower the various roles in the complex ad tech industry. We then reimagined the Adform FLOW Platform, building the UI with new thinking and innovative ideas. Based on an audit by PWC, the new UI improved platform efficiency by up to 62%”
