Why Adform:

As our trusted partner for over seven years, Vodafone GR has worked closely with us to develop cutting-edge campaigns that sit at the forefront of the latest innovations in digital advertising. This year, we were the world’s first global DSP to align with the Science Based Targets initiative’s (SBTi) near-term emission reduction target. We were also the first DSP to integrate with Scope3– a company dedicated to reducing carbon emissions in advertising technology. Vodafone Greece wanted to use our Carbon Reduction feature* to directly track and reduce the carbon emissions in their campaign.

Challenges:

Vodafone Greece saw an opportunity with us to do more than just produce good results, but to also encourage more environmentally friendly media buying with their campaigns. The company also wanted to test whether the Carbon Reduction feature would also have a positive impact on performance goals. Vodafone Greece decided to test the Carbon Reduction feature by launching a campaign promoting their“Trend Micro” cloud security features.

Solution:

Our ground-breaking Carbon Reduction feature* within the FLOW UI automatically scores media owners and supply chains based on carbon footprint. By excluding top-scoring domains from campaigns, we’re not just reducing emissions, we’re also enhancing campaign performance. Vodafone Greece found that by excluding domains that were high emitting, they were able to focus their spend on higher quality local domains. The result was more support for the local economy and a lower bounce rate.
