Lenovo, a global technology powerhouse rooted in customer-centric innovation, partnered with Adform to understand whether Adobe Real-Time CDP audience data could deliver greater scale and addressability in Germany when activated through Adform's ID Fusion. By testing identity-based audience activation against traditional cookie-based targeting, Lenovo evaluated the impact on reach, efficiency, and audience expansion. The results showed that combining Adobe audience data with Adform's identity capabilities enabled Lenovo to connect with more relevant users across the open web while maintaining strong engagement performance.

As digital identifiers become increasingly fragmented, Lenovo needed a way to activate its audience data at scale without relying solely on traditional cookie-based approaches. Adform's ID Fusion technology transformed Real-Time CDP audiences into scalable, addressable audiences across the open web, helping Lenovo improve reach, efficiency, and audience recognition across devices and environments. The result was a more connected, future-ready activation strategy built on the strength of Lenovo's existing first-party data.
Lenovo sought to maximize the value of its first-party audience data in an evolving digital landscape where browser restrictions and fragmented identifiers can impact campaign reach and performance. With audience segments available in Real-Time CDP, the challenge was to determine whether identity-based activation could unlock greater scale, improve addressability, and create a stronger foundation for both retargeting and audience growth than traditional cookie-based methods, while establishing a future-ready approach to audience activation.
Lenovo activated first-party audience segments from Real-Time CDP through Adform, using Adobe Experience Cloud IDs (ECIDs) as the foundation for audience targeting. Through Adform ID Fusion, those audiences were mapped across a broader set of digital identifiers, enabling more scalable and addressable activation across the open web. Lenovo then compared the performance of identity-based audience activation against traditional cookie-based approaches to assess the impact on reach, audience growth, and campaign efficiency. By connecting audience intelligence with identity-driven activation, Lenovo was able to unlock more value from its existing audience investments, demonstrating how first-party data can be transformed into a scalable, future-ready strategy for audience engagement and growth.

“This was not just a media test: it is proof that our first-party data can work harder for us. By leveraging Adobe and Adform DSP together, we improved efficiency and built a more resilient activation framework for a cookieless future. The test demonstrated how we can future-proof our audience strategy by extending the reach of our first-party data well beyond the limitations of third-party cookies, unlocking valuable audiences across the open web while maintaining data quality and relevance.”
