From the time I got a computer with an internet connection I’ve spent my time tinkering with everything I could get my hands on - mIRC scripts, web pages and basic programming. Nevertheless, I chose to study finance as I felt that was a better path to take at the time. However, I felt that something was out of place - I found a lot more joy in making complex excel sheets than reading tax law. Long story short, I came back to programming and never looked back again.
When I joined Adform in 2018 I had been programming professionally for five years mostly in the banking sector. I joined Adform looking for more technical challenges and after spending five years here I can proudly say that Adform is the place where I stopped thinking of myself just as a “programmer” but as an Engineer.
I am a backend (.net) engineer. Together with my team we manage a fleet of microservices which work together to provide end-users with whatever data they might need - from a few rows to gigabyte sized reports. We are sort of the frontend of Adforms Big Data stack.
I’m always looking forward to how we can improve what we offer - more stability, more data, and more happy clients.
Our team works on ensuring we can implement all the great ideas our UX and product people will have.
It’s a delicate balance to provide as many reporting features as possible without compromising the stability of the underlying big data sources.
Freedom and empowerment.
Every single person I’ve worked with in Adform has a very strong ownership mindset. Everyone is helpful and impediments are resolved quickly and professionally. Aside from that, new and shiny tech is not only allowed but encouraged. Our IT people are constantly helping us move towards a cutting edge stack - kubernetes, prometheus, you name it.
We're hiring! We have many open positions for a variety of roles across 3 continents. We look forward to reading your application!
