Technical Copywriter, Training & Certifications

About the role and team

We’re looking for a part-time Technical Copywriter to assist in the production and maintenance of Adform Academy, our Learning & Development platform.  

You will be part of Adform’s Business Processes department where we are responsible for setting the best practices and processes for our many clients. We are de-centralized team, with colleagues in Denmark, Italy, Lithuania and the U.K.  

You will work closely with the Training & Certifications team and other key internal stakeholders to edit and re-write technical content for our product training modules. You will set a style guide and monitor content tone and readability across all training contentproofreading for US-English spelling, punctuation, and grammar.  

Your content will reach thousands of clients from leading brands, advertising agencies and publishers across the globeYou will have opportunity to shape and future-proof our client education and remote learning experiences, as part of a wider team focused on improving services and business processes. 

The ideal candidate should be available for 16-24 hours per week, consistently but on a flexible basis to be agreed, for at least a 1-year period. Some travelling may be required.  

Your tasks and responsibilities 

  • Produce high-qualityeasy-to-understand educational text appropriate for its intended audience  
  • Develop messaging with the voice and needs of the customer in mind, considering multiple audience perspectives to shape powerful narratives 
  • Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements 
  • Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on repackaging, re-use, and single-sourcing opportunities  
  • Reinforce a commercial/marketing-oriented mindset and voice in educational resources  
  • Deliver to overall project milestones alongside manager in relation to resource availability 
  • Participate in Industry events to stay up to date on digital ecosystem and competitors 
  • Share responsibility for audience engagement and customer satisfaction with the learning environment 
  • Work cross-functionally to deliver required content  
  • Complete deliverables to agreed timelines  

We expect you are/have   

  • Native or C2 Certified English in spoken and written form 
  • Exceptional verbal & written communication skills in US-English  
  • Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation  
  • A high level of digital fluency 
  • Ability to deliver high quality documentation with excellent attention to detail  
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures  
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office  
  • Detail-oriented and efficient individual contributor 
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and personal accountability. 
  • A global mindset with an interest, awareness, or background in cross-cultural communication 
  • You view constructive input as a core tool for improving 

 It would be an advantage if you have:  

  • Knowledge of Adform’s platform capabilities 
  • Experience with Learning Management software  
  • BA/BS in Marketing, Communication, or a related field  
  • Product Marketing, journalism, or research experience in the advertising, media, broadcast, or tech industries.
