The Birth of Adform
In 2002, three guys – Gustav, Jakob and Stefan – were looking for ways to change the growing world of online advertising and so they founded Adform in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The First Major Clients
Adform signed a contract with GroupM in Denmark and became the official ad-serving partner for both Mediacom and Mindshare.
The New Top Talents
In 2006, we were introduced to some highly talented system developers in Lithuania. Within a few weeks, Adform had set up an office in Vilnius, which has continued to grow ever since.
After launching an office in Stockholm, Adform made successful inroads into the Swedish market. Today Sweden is one of company‘s biggest markets in terms of revenue.
The number of people working at Adform reached 50, which is exactly ten times as many employees as there were in 2002.
The Conquest of Norway and the UK
Adform launched new offices in London and Oslo.
The motivated Adform entrepreneurs joined forces with experienced Via Venture Partners in a remarkable step forward that fuelled business success.
Breaking into the German Market
We welcomed yet another office to the Adform family – this time in Germany.

The New Way Media is Purchased
In 2011, Adform introduced the first pan-European Demand-Side Platform, based on RTB integration with the DoubleClick Ad Exchange and Microsoft Advertising. DSP is a powerful tool for tailoring personalized ads for the target audience.
The European Crusade
Adform launched offices in Italy, Spain and the Czech Republic.
The Office in Finland and the Benelux Countries
It seems as if there’s no stopping Adform’s continued expansion. We entered the Finnish, Dutch and Belgian markets.

The Great Hook-Up
We set up a Rich Media partnership with Microsoft Advertising to offer marketers across Europe a bunch of new interactive banner formats, video-advertising platforms and mobile solutions.
The Best Employer
Adform took top spot in several best employer surveys in Lithuania, where the company‘s biggest office is located.
As of 2013, Adform has over 264 employees in 12 offices across Europe: Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Germany, Italy, Spain, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Belgium and the UK. A new development office opens in Kaunas.

Launch of Brand-Led Media Platform
Adform launches Brand-Led Media Platform that enables brand marketers to enter the programmatic era by making multi-screen display advertising simple, relevant, rewarding.
Adform expands its' global reach with opening two offices in U.S. Also to support the growing demand for Real Time Bidding the office was opened in Poland and the development center in Belarus. The number of employees hovers +400 people across 15 countries.
Series B Funding
Impressed with Adform’s 173% YOY gross revenue growth, Nordic-based Via Equity invests $5.5 million to help company to bring programmatic rich media to U.S.based advertisers and publishers and continue innovation in the EU.
Launch of DMP
Adform launched a Data Management Platform (DMP) designed to enable publishers to monetize their audience data, and agencies and advertisers to target highly specific audiences.

Adform strikes again as the Best Employer in Lithuania! Company strives to become the best of the best and to keep an exclusive culture and positive environment.
Continuing Adform's rapid growth, the company welcomed our 600th employee and is active in 16 countries!
Launch of PPAS
The Programmatic Publisher Ad Server (PPAS) is built from the ground up with a robust set of tools to simplify publisher’s workflows, empower decision making, while opening up new ways of monetizing their inventory. PPAS is a part of the Publisher Edge offering.
Launch of SSP
Adform’s Supply Side Platform (SSP) is built upon the quality, durability, and user-centric design which has defined our Private Marketplace, while expanding publisher’s opportunities and access. It is a part of the new Publisher Edge offering.
Launch of AG
Automated Guaranteed (AG) for Advertisers, Agencies and Publishers was introduced as a way to re-imagine the direct Insertion Order (IO) process. AG radically simplifies and accelerates the IO process while adding transparency, discoverability and automation.
Adform raises $21.5M to fund global growth of its independent and open full-stack ad tech platform. This investment was made by Danica Pension as part of their investment strategy and was based on Adform’s consistent growth and world-class performance.
Cross-Device Audience Management
Our Cross Device Audience Management offering determines which devices belong to the same user, enabling Advertisers and Agencies to effectively target and reach users across all of their connected devices.
Building on continued growth and new investments, Adform launched new offices in Singapore, Turkey and France further expanding our global footprint. This brought our global presence to offices in 18 countries and resulted in welcoming our 700th employee.

Header Bidding (HB) is introduced to replace publisher’s traditional tiered call approach with a single, initial call to a pre-assigned list of exchanges and providers. Working alongside the Adform SSP and PPAS, HB provides publishers unparalleled access to new demand.
